Boston Celtics Rondo is suspended 2 games.

Rondo is suspended for his involvement in a tussle with Brooklyn Nets Kris Humphries after a hard foul against Rondo's fellow teammate Kevin Garnett.

This is Rondo's 3rd suspension over a nine-month time frame. He was also given a two game ban in February for throwing a ball at an official,  A one game suspension in April for making contact with an official during game one of the quarterfinals.

Rondo spoke to the league officials and hoping that he would be spared, seeing that nobody who plays basketball wants to be sitting on a bench.  The Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers said "he didn't believe that Rondo's actions deserved a suspension."

Not only did Rondo get hammered with a 2 game suspension, His teammate Kevin Garnett was fined $25,000 for "escalating the altercation" along with a technical foul, and Brooklyn Nets forward Gerald Wallace was fined $35,000. Rondo, Wallace, and Kris Humphries were all ejected from Wednesday's game.
