Doomsday

According to the Mayan calendar, a galactic alignment between the earth, sun, and a black hole is supposed to create chaos on earth on December 21st 2012. Many suggest that this date marks the end of the world, and a beginning of a new era. According to NASA, we have nothing to worry about as the earth has been getting along fine for the past 4 billion years and there is no threat to our planet this year. NASA is claiming that all of the assertions being made are clearly fictional, and that there is no concrete scientific evidence to support this theory. Yet this does not convince the naysayers. There are many people across the world that believe in the 1,300 year old hieroglyphics. The Inscriptions were found carved in the ruins of La Corona in Guatemala, and suggest an "end date" and not the actual end of the world as we see it. Whether you choose to believe in the Mayan calendar or not we are all aware of the publicity this phenomenon is getting, and all we can do is wait and see what happens the morning of December 21st, 2012.
